Crazy cravings....

Salty salty salty, give me salty! I can't remember having any wierd cravings with my first pregnancy...you know people always ask that. Well, this time I do! I can't get enough Pico de Gallo (Spelling? I dunno.) Anyway, I make it at home, and it's just a bunch of diced tomatoes, soem diced onion, chopped cilantro, a few tablespoons of lime juice, some salt, and voila! It's supposed to have jalepeno but I skip that part..... Anyway, I just finished off 5 cups of that stuff in the last 24 hours. And the wierdest thing is that my favorite part is the juice that's left at the bottom of the container. Go figure with all that acid, today I don't have heartburn!

The big ordeal today is trying to finish, or at least make progress on, the "nesting" that began last weekend. I have the uncontrollable urge to organize, and I think this happened right around the same time last pregnancy too. So far I've sorted all the baby clothes in Ivria's closet, assembled a new changing table, Organized the front closet in the kitchen, and the shelves above the laundry machines, and today we pulled everything out of our bedroom closet. I've also gone through all my craft suplies and cut back by half (and that is no small feat!). AND I moved all the videos and dvds to the shelf in the kitchen, and I still need to finish up cleaning the disaster that happened in my bedroom after finishing the closet. I just wish my energy level would keep up with my desire to sort----I've had a cold this week that is just wiping me out, so I'm not getting as much done as I'd like! Must give props to Jim, he's hauled or moved everything I've asked, he even stayed home from work on Monday to take care of Ivi so I could rest some. He's such a good man. Can't wait till he gets to meet his new little girl, he is very excited.

Welcome to the new blog!

Hi everyone, I've been a terrible blogger and let Ivi's baby blog go un-updated for some time now.....

Sorry!

However, I did feel it more appropriate to condense into one family blog for simplification.

Currently, I'm 30 weeks (7months) pregnant with Ivi's baby sister Meirah. Again we are having a blessed and uncomplicated pregnancy, and I can't believe that we will have another child in just over two months! Ivria has already adjusted to having other kids around the house due to some babysitting that I do, and she is very well behaved with little babies that she meets, so I expect all to go well when we transition into a four member household :-)

Ivi just turned two years old and is an amazing little creature. We are now of course encountering discipline issues anew every day, and Ivi is quickly learning that Mama don't mess around. She tries to work the system, she will soon learn that Daddy and Mommy wrote the system long before she came along.....hahahaaa! The way I really look at it is this--- It would be such a waste of a beautiful child to allow her to be disobedient. So really, I don't get frustrated with her. She is learning the boundaries, and we make new ones all the time. We learn together how to make the day run smoothly.

I leave you with this snow-baby picture, and promises that more updates and pictures are on the way!

Birthday princess!

Here is our beautiful two year old, as of FEB 27th! Grampa bought her this pretty birthday crown and sash.

The party this year was held at Grandma Pyette's house, she has recently been in the hospital, so we brought the party to her. Aunt Susan baked a cake for mommy to decorate, and Ivria had a wonderful time opening presents. She got a Mr and Mrs potato head, a Tea set, some more Thomas the tank engine trains, and lovely clothes. Can you believe she is two? I can't!

Do the Puyallup... as a big kid!

This year, Ivria had the chance to actually do the puyallup fair, minus the baby stroller! Our big girl (who is 18 months old now.....) had a great time in the petting zoo. She wasn't sure about the whole ordeal untill we walked into the barns and she started squealing with delight!
Rides too this year! We did the Carousel and the spinning bears, and the sillyville train.
And of course the food..... turns out Ivi loves curly fries
Here she is waiting in line for the photo booth, as you can see she has had a long day. we brought the baby carrier but didn't need it untill the walk back to the car.
And what kind of parents would we be if we missed an opportunity for icecream?
All in all, it was a delightful day. I couldn't have asked for a better time at the fair.

Thank goodness for spring!

After so much waiting and pining away at the window, we finally get to run around and show off our big girl walking skills. Ivria loves to play outside so much! Her absolute favorite things to discover are pinecones and dandelion buds.

However, moss is also very interesting it would seem.

After a nice long playtime at the park, it's nice to know that Daddy is always there for the long walk home. See you out in the sunshine!

Birthday Cake!

Hello all from the land of Birthdays! My name is Ivria and this is a great shot of my first birthday cake. It looks so delicious doesn't it? Mommy made sure I had a cake of my very own to smush and squish and have a party with! Thank you to everyone who sent gifts and those who came to the party, I know I'm such a special girl and you all care for me so much.
I'll save you some cake when I'm done next year.......

Sorry this is so long coming guys!

Hello everyone! I guess it's about time we popped in for an update. Miss Ivria is about to turn one year old! Tomorrow is the 27th of February! Hooray! Our celebrating will be done on March 8th, when we can have some family over to join in the fun.

Well, this past year has just flown by. So many milesones! Our first christmas together as a family, learning to crawl, she is even starting to stand on her own now! She has 12 teeth, is on strike from most foods that she can't eat by herself, and has weaned herself from breastfeeding. After a checkup tomorrow I'll be able to update her height/weight stats for you all, but I think she is almost ready for the big girl carseat.

Some of her favorite games include, Peekaboo-she plays by putting something in front of her face, or by hiding her face in the carpet, She loves to be chased around the living room, and she loves to go on walks strapped on my back so she can reach out and touch the branches and bushes as we walk by. Also, she loves animals, dogs in particular, loves to dance to music, and has a great love of shoes. I think she must have picked it up from her mommy who loves shoes too, but this past week she has been carrying around her pair of sandals.....

All in all, she is growing and changing and becoming the amazing person that God has made her to be. She is independent, cheerful and joyous, and has such a sweet spirit. We are blessed beyond measure, and I promise to share more of the blessings in the form of updated blog entries!

Love to you all.
